Lent: A Living Sacrifice
My church sends out emails every week on preparation for the sermon on Sunday, and this past week it was about sticking to Jesus, a new series we are starting. The email talked about lent and said:
"Did you know that Wednesday marked the beginning of Lent? If you are like me, growing up I was very confused as to why Christians made a big deal about left over hair and fabric balls stuck in my pockets or belly button…it's just lint! Thankfully, I later realized that "Lent" can be a life-saving season, and it's actually all about sticking…to Jesus.
If you've been a "Christian", but find it hard to stick to Jesus, then Lent is for you. Thomas Aquinas once said, “Every choice is a renunciation.” Though we tend to focus on what to give up during Lent (often times for self-fulfilling purposes), try asking the question: "What will free me up to hunger and thirst for God's goodness?" In other words, what can you detach from in order to stick to Jesus?
I get that. I get Lent as way of learning to stick to Jesus more, by detaching from earthly things or things that are keeping us from the Lord. I decided that I would pray about what I could give up or change in my life for the next 40 days to stick to Jesus more.
As I prayed and meditated on it the Lord revealed to me that I needed to give up sleep. I thought SLEEP!!! I dont have that to give! Right now I am sleeping about 6 hours on average a night and working 12-14 hour days at the boutique. I dont have a whole lot of extra time at all, and every moment outside of work needs to be strategically planned on how I am gonna get all that I need to get done completed. I have found that I am still getting time with the Lord, but it isnt enough. I wake up early enough most days to get a little time with God, get ready, and make my meals for the day, but if I wake up late, the first thing that gets cut is my time with God. Its SO not right at all, and makes such a huge difference in my day. My heart desires more than 15-20 mins with the Lord in the morning, but in order to do that I HAVE to get up earlier and sacrifice sleep.
I was praying about this, knowing that if I was going to give up something for lent, it would have to be something I really felt would push me closer to the Lord. I didnt want it to be something random just for the sake of giving something up. I wanted it to really be a sacrifice. Well, the Lord knew my heart and asked me to give up something I feel like I cant even give. But isnt that what we are supposed to do, give God the first fruits of our hearts, the things that we cherish most and be a LIVING SACRIFICE?? Our offerings to the Lord have to be a sacrifice or they really aren't an offering, because we arent giving anything of worth to God.
I opened my bible the next morning, still praying about this and knowing that if I was gonna make a covenant with the Lord for lent that I needed to be really serious about it. I am trying hard to feel the weight and seriousness of promises I make to the Lord. I am reading the Psalms and it said in Psalm 132:2-5:
"He swore an oath to the Lord and made a vow to the Mighty one of Jacob, I will not enter my house or go to bed- I will allow no sleep to my eyes, no slumber to my eyelids, till I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob."
If that wasn't confirmation from the Lord I don't know what is! It was literally written for me! It was a total slap in the face thinking, of course! Why would I even desire to sleep until I knew my heart was right with the Lord and until I sought the Lord with all that I am??
So, in conclusion, I am giving up sleep for Lent to spend more time with the Lord. I told the Lord to have mercy on me as I seek to do this, bc my little body LOVES sleep, and I know I am not gonna do it perfectly! I encourage you girls as well, although lent has already started to pray about if there is something that you could fast or give up this lent season in order to stick to Christ more. What in your life do you need to detach from to see Christ more clearly? I encourage you to pick something that is hard. The more we rely on the Lord the more His Glory is shown. Not to us, but to HIM be the GLORY! This is the whole concept of us being called to be a living sacrifice. Its all for HIS GLORY!!
May you all rely on the Lord in bigger ways this Lent season!
I love you!

Being an Example of His Message
Love you all! Natalie
Being an Example of His Message
Preach the word! —2 Timothy 4:2
We are not saved only to be instruments for God, but to be His sons and daughters. He does not turn us into spiritual agents but into spiritual messengers, and the message must be a part of us. The Son of God was His own message— “The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63). As His disciples, our lives must be a holy example of the reality of our message. Even the natural heart of the unsaved will serve if called upon to do so, but it takes a heart broken by conviction of sin, baptized by the Holy Spirit, and crushed into submission to God’s purpose to make a person’s life a holy example of God’s message.
There is a difference between giving a testimony and preaching. A preacher is someone who has received the call of God and is determined to use all his energy to proclaim God’s truth. God takes us beyond our own aspirations and ideas for our lives, and molds and shapes us for His purpose, just as He worked in the disciples’ lives after Pentecost. The purpose of Pentecost was not to teach the disciples something, but to make them the incarnation of what they preached so that they would literally become God’s message in the flesh. “. . . you shall be witnesses to Me . . .” (Acts 1:8).
Allow God to have complete liberty in your life when you speak. Before God’s message can liberate other people, His liberation must first be real in you. Gather your material carefully, and then allow God to “set your words on fire” for His glory.

The Sound of Gods Voice
Sometimes the easiest of commands are the hardest to follow. I want to obey Gods voice, but how do I know what voice is His? Often times I feel the tug on my heart directing me to pick up a phone, send an email, or letter of encouragement. I often times blow these feelings off as “just me.” But God wants us to obey His voice. With so many voices it can be hard to know which voice is coming from God. The more and more I grow knowing the Lord the more His voice becomes familiar to me.
My brother got married this weekend. The ceremony was sweet. I was a bridesmaid and had been busy for weeks working on decorations for the wedding. It was not until I turned the corner walking down the aisle that it hit me that my brother was getting married. I made it a few steps down the aisle when I looked at my brother and he took a breath. It was not just any breath, it was a “I am about to start crying breath.” I lost is, and then he started crying. After the ceremony I had everyone teasing me about crying, and I could not explain that it was a face expression that my brother made that made me cry. Why? It is because I know Him. I can just here someone walking down the hall of my house and I can tell you who it is. It is because for years I have grown accustomed to the sounds of my family members. Little steps, the way they breathe, face expressions, little noises. It is the same way with the LORD. The more we spend time hearing his voice, gleaning from His word; we begin to recognize the voice of the LORD. And as we have all experienced, God only guides us because He has a perfect plan for our lives.
Prayer: Dear heavenly father I pray that your voice would become so clear to us. God please help us to know what you are calling us to do. Let us not doubt who you have created us to be. Lord fill us with love and passion to do your will. God as we begin this New Year, let us live lives that bring you glory.

Deserter or Disciple
Love you all! N
Deserter or Disciple?
When God, by His Spirit through His Word, gives you a clear vision of His will, you must “walk in the light” of that vision (1 John 1:7). Even though your mind and soul may be thrilled by it, if you don’t “walk in the light” of it you will sink to a level of bondage never envisioned by our Lord. Mentally disobeying the “heavenly vision” (Acts 26:19) will make you a slave to ideas and views that are completely foreign to Jesus Christ. Don’t look at someone else and say, “Well, if he can have those views and prosper, why can’t I?” You have to “walk in the light” of the vision that has been given to you. Don’t compare yourself with others or judge them— that is between God and them. When you find that one of your favorite and strongly held views clashes with the “heavenly vision,” do not begin to debate it. If you do, a sense of property and personal right will emerge in you— things on which Jesus placed no value. He was against these things as being the root of everything foreign to Himself— “. . . for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses” (Luke 12:15). If we don’t see and understand this, it is because we are ignoring the underlying principles of our Lord’s teaching.
Our tendency is to lie back and bask in the memory of the wonderful experience we had when God revealed His will to us. But if a New Testament standard is revealed to us by the light of God, and we don’t try to measure up, or even feel inclined to do so, then we begin to backslide. It means your conscience does not respond to the truth. You can never be the same after the unveiling of a truth. That moment marks you as one who either continues on with even more devotion as a disciple of Jesus Christ, or as one who turns to go back as a deserter.

Broken by sin, redeemed by Grace.. the story of God healing humanity

“Woe to the rebellious children,” says the LORD, “Who take counsel, but not of Me, and who devise plans, but not of My Spirit, that they may add sin to sin; Who walk to go down to Egypt, and have not asked My advice.” To strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore the strength of Pharaoh shall be your shame, and trust in the shadow of Egypt shall be your humiliation.” (vs. 1-3)
Lord, forgive me for acting similar to these men. The Lord was speaking to a nation who wanted nothing to do with Him. They were no longer faithful children who looked to GOD for their direction. Instead they walked in their own wisdom and trusted the strength of Egypt.
When we as Gods children walk in our own ways, we grieve God. God calls them foolish children, they were irritated when the prophets tried to tell them about God. Does that sound familiar today? We want God out of our country. As we see in Isaiah when we ask God to leave, He will. But the outcome will not be good.
Israel’s trust was in Egypt. But Egypt was no help, God called their efforts idle (Rahab-Hem-Shebeth). (vs. 7) Who made man? Who established the earth? Created the galaxies? Who gave you your very breath? This is the GOD who you are choosing to battle. How will you ever be victorious against God?
Before God begins speaking to them on what will happen if they choose to trust Egypt instead of Him, God tells them to write down what He is about to say (vs. 8). He is like a father who is making sure they know what they are choosing. They will have in their record, that they did not want God and know that they chose to sin after God had warned them not to. Just as our nation will be able to look back in our history books and see where we voted and passed laws to take God out of our schools, government, and work places.
God starts off by describing the spiritual state of His people: “These people are rebellious lying children who will not hear My Word.” (vs. 9) They are asking people not to tell them what is right, they are asking to be lied to. They do not want to know what I am saying to them. (Verse 10) You ask me to leave your community. (vs. 11)
Then God responds to their sin: Because you hate my word and trust in false Gods (v 13) you will be broken in pieces like a broken piece of pottery that has no use. (vs. 14) Your people will be afraid and flee and your nation will be left like a tree stripped of its branches. (vs. 17)
Though sin leaves us broken and useless God pays the highest price to bring us back into a right relationship with Him. He can restore our broken lives and make beauty from our ashes.
“But now oh LORD You are the father; we are the clay, and You our potter. And all we are the work of Your hand. Do not be furious oh LORD, or remember iniquity forever’; indeed, please look- we are Your people.” (Isaiah 64:8-9)
After this nation turns from their sin, they ask the prophets to teach them Gods truths. They no longer want to be lied to. “You will ask your teachers to show you truth (vs. 20-21), you will be shown the right way to walk. You will also turn away from your sin and turn from your idols (vs. 22).
“In the day that the LORD binds up the bruise of HIS people and heals the stroke of their wounds.(vs. 26) “The eyes of those who see will not be dim, and the ears of those who hear will listen. Also the heart of the rash will understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers will be ready to speak plainly. (Isaiah 32:3)
“My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, In secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places,.” (Isaiah 32:18)
xoxo Ashby
Prayer: Thank you gracious father for saving us from our sins. LORD you truly are the only healer who can bind up our bruises and hurt. GOD I pray, LORD that you would give us eyes to see You and ears to hear You. God I pray that we would cling to You, father. Thank you LORD for sending your Son to save us from our sins; and make a way for us to be with YOU. Lord let us live lives that glorify your name. We praise you LORD and remember everything that You have done for us! Forgive us for being distracted by sin or idleness. Amen

One Solitary Life

He never owned a home. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never put His foot inside a big city. He never traveled two hundred miles from the place He was born. He never did one of the things that usually accompany greatness. He had no credentials but Himself...
While still a young man, the tide of popular opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. One of them denied Him. He was turned over to His enemies. He went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed upon a cross between two thieves. While He was dying His executioners gambled for the only piece of property He had on earth – His coat. When He was dead, He was laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.
Nineteen long centuries have come and gone, and today He is a centerpiece of the human race and leader of the column of progress.
I am far within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, all the navies that were ever built; all the parliaments that ever sat and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as has that one solitary life.
(This was read at my grandma's sunday school class last week at church and I had never heard it before. I am sure some of you have, but I thought it was SO powerful. May we remember to keep our eyes focused on the true celebration of this Christmas season, a celebration of the birth of one solitary life, our Savior, Jesus Christ)
Love you all! N

What is TRUE Peace?
Hi girls!! Look who it is... ME! Yikes, I was even having a hard time logging in because I momentarily forgot what our password and login was.... but I figured it out :)I wanted to share with you girls what I was reading last week, and what stuck with me. My bible study did a fast the Thursday before Thanksgiving, and we were told to read Philippians 4:2-9 five times and really try to see and understand what God may be trying to tell us. I was ecstatic because Philippians 4:6-7 is my ultimate favorite verse! It is the most powerful and effective verse to me no matter where I'm at in life. If I'm stressed, anxious, confused, happy, grateful, etc, it is an amazing 2 verses. But this isn't what I learned. I saw and read something new in the second part of verse 4:9:
"And the God of peace will be with you."
We have heard this, right? The "God of peace." And I often pray for peace in my heart and mind when I'm especially anxious. But what is peace? I always associated peace with happy thoughts or having life run smoothly, with no problems or altercations. Except, this isn't what peace really is, if you see it in God's terms. True peace is fully knowing, acknowledging and believing that God is in control, no matter what the circumstance may be. Your life could be absolutely upside down, but if you have the faith and belief that our Lord is in control of it, you WILL be at peace. Peace is not what I always thought it was: the absence of problems or stress, and it is not gained by just thinking good thoughts. It's to truly realize that our Creator knows our lives and that He is ultimately in control, no matter what it may seem.
Love you all so, so much!

First day of Avent

Today marks the first day of Advent. Advent is a word I grew up hearing a lot as a child because to me it meant chocolate. I got an advent calendar every year and got to eat that little mystery shaped chocolate behind the door every day. Not until this year did the word advent have more depth to me.
Advent is a world that means "coming" or "arrival." In the 4 weeks of Advent leading up to Christmas we celebrate both the season of the arrival of Jesus Christ in a manger 2000 years ago, as well as the coming of Christ again. It is two fold celebration for us as Christians because we celebrate not only what has happened already but also the coming of the Lord again. As we wait expectantly for the second coming we are reminded of what it was like for the Hebrews as they waited for the prophecy to be fulfilled in the Messiah, Christ's birth.
Traditionally, there is an advent wreath that contains 4 candles. Originally 3 of these candles are purple to represent the royalty of Christ, and the 4th is pink which represents joy. Today, being the first week of advent, you light the first candle, which represents hope. We start the celebration of advent being reminded of the hope we have in Our Savior because He already came and died for our sins so we can spend eternity with Him, as well as hope that He will return again for us.
I pray this Christmas season we could really dig into the spirit of advent, preparing not just for Christmas as a time of food, family, and presents, but to remember that this is when our lives changed forever. This time reminds us of the day God allowed a sinful, fleshly body to labor a divine child. This event marked a day of hope and deliverance, as well as confirmed confidence in a God who keeps His promises, even if it means coming Himself in flesh.
Miqweh Yisrael, you are our God of hope and in you we find confidence that we have been redeemed. I thank you for the season that we get to reflect and rejoice remembering the coming of your son, Jesus. Immanuel, I pray you would invade our hearts and press into us reminding us of the sacrifice you gave to assure us hope in you. Thank you for being our Savior. Thank you for coming in the flesh, so we could be saved by your grace. We wait for you Lord, with open and expectant hearts knowing your timing is perfect. May we be filled with more of you this Christmas season and may we grow deeper spiritually than we ever have before. We love you so much. In your precious Name, Amen.
Titus 2:13
"We wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ"
I love you girls!

Give Thanks to HIM!

Today as I celebrate Thanksgiving my heart is completely overwhelmed by the truth that we have NO good thing besides the Him, the One who has given it all to us and abundantly poured out His blessings on our lives.
I woke up today and had this verse in my head from Psalm 100:
"Enter His gates with Thanksgiving, and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His Name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues throughout all generations" - Psalm 100:4-5
We are so undeserving of the blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon our lives, but today we give thanks and remember the loving covenant Yahweh made with His children, the redeeming sacrifice that the Precious Lamb of God gave to us on calvary, and the thick invasion of the Holy Spirit who loves us enough to dwell in our hearts as His home and refine us to be vessels for His work.
Today, I also give thanks on my knees for you girls and how each one of you has enriched my understanding of the Living God in ways I could never repay you for. To you all I say THANK YOU to for being such incredible sisters in Christ and walking this life with me. Thank you for holding my hand through hard stuff, for praying for me and the people in my life, for extending grace when it was not deserved, for encouraging me through every season, for rejoicing with me in times of joy, and most of all for always pointing me to the cross to a deeper understanding of Our Abba Father. I pray blessing would return to you girls one hundred fold for all you have done for me. I cannot thank you guys enough for what loving, powerful, God fearing woman you have been in my life. Today I give thanks for EACH one of you and how your lives have so deeply blessed mine.
Lord, I praise you from the depths of my soul for the work you have done in and through us this last year. God your grace has covered us in ways which we could not ever comprehend. We stand before you with grateful hearts today knowing full well that everything good in our lives comes from You. We have NO good thing besides you. I praise you God for these girls and how you have used them to push me to fall deeper in love with you. I ask that you would continue to bless these friendships and that your Holy Spirit would invoke a deep hunger for more of You in our lives. May we always remember to come before you with a Spirit of thanks and a grateful heart for all your work in us. If your grace was the only gift we would ever receive, that alone would be enough. You have given far beyond what we deserve, and we stand before you and thank you for all you have poured out on our lives. We praise you God for loving us unconditionally and showing us what it looks like to reflect you. Thank you for all that we have all that we are. It is only by your grace. We love you. Amen.
Happy Thanksgiving girls!!

My daily bread
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, fr they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your father knows what you need before you ask him. This, then, is how you should pray:
"Our Father in heaven hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."
"Give us this day our daily bread."
Wow, that line has a whole new meaning to David and I right now at this time in our lives. We literally thank God everyday for providing us with our "daily bread". Finances are very tight right now that it is not an option to look ahead to the end of the month, the end of the week, sometimes even the end of the day. There are times the money just isn't there and we don't know what we are going to do and yet day after day after day God is providing for our daily needs. David's free internship randomly decided to give him a Christmas bonus last week, right before rent was due! We have had random people who do not even know we are tight on finances send us a check saying I felt led to give this to you. My old boss just found a research job she needs me to do from home that pays! Everyday God is giving us literally just enough to buy for that day, whether it be groceries, my medicine, or rent for that day, these checks are coming on the exact day we have something due.
It has been an amazing place to be in, to be literally 100% dependent on God. To go to bed knowing rent is due tomorrow and knowing we don't have it in our account...David and I have read these verses over and over and that is our prayer every night, we know God knows what we need before we ask him and we know he has been faithful to provide in the past and will be faithful to provide today. And everyday he has. It has NOT been easy but there has been something really beautiful about being in such a place of dependency on God. He has been humbling us and working on our hearts so much and uniting David and I together in our faith.
As I was thinking about these verses the other night I realized "Give us this day our daily bread" does not literally have to mean "provide tangible food for us" it can be any area in our lives we are struggling. If you are struggling with anxiety, what to do with your future, what job to get, who to marry, where to live, how to overcome a huge obstacle, whatever the problem, I encourage each of you to pray this prayer with all your heart and watch how God will step in and provide for you. Let God be your daily bread. If it's too scary to look ahead to the end of the week and makes you anxious, then don't don't even look to the end of the day. Look to God and expect with faith that God is going to get you through this day and fill you with HIS perfect peace. I know we all know we are supposed to give our worries over to God, blah blah blah...but seriously just do it! No more excuses! No more saying you can have this area of my life but not this part. How can we expect to see God's miracles and feel his peace if we don't give everything over to him?
I was in a place where I was so stubborn that God literally had to FORCE me here haha I don't have a choice right now to give it over to him or not to. There is nothing left for me to hold onto! I have no way of providing for myself so God will. I wish I had not been so stubborn and would have given my heart and fears completely over to God sooner but he knew the only way to make me really see was to completely strip me of everything and humble me. And I am so thankful he has!
I am praying this prayer over each of you ladies today. I am praying we give our fears, hearts, sins, finances, lives, everything over to God and watch him provide day after day after day just how we need. God has not forgotten us ladies! In fact, I have never felt closer to mine and David's life than right now. We have no jobs, no money, a baby on the way, by the worlds standards, he has forgotten for us and not provided. But we know that God loves me and David so much that he has not given up on our hearts. He is doing whatever to takes to humble us and make us dependent on him. I thank him everyday for choosing us and not giving up on us. He has never been closer to our hearts than now and for that I am so thankful! I love each one of you and pray you can release whatever it is holding you back from giving everything up to God right now.
Love Megs and the Babe!

Following a Pepsi Truck
I thought about what I was doing I thought to myself, "Really Natalie, what difference does it make if you can see where you are going. It isnt going to change whether you stop or go at each light. Just follow the truck. Its gonna tell you what you need to do."
I instantly was reminded by God, this is the story of my life. Here is God SO much bigger than I, ahead of me and I am always trying to see around or ahead of Him. I just wanna be in control. If I can see, I think I have it all under control. The thing is though, is if I just follow Him and trust He is gonna lead me, I can relax and knowing He will make the best decisions for my life. I was totally challenged by this big semi, being a physical representation of a role God's plays in my life. It was just a good reminder to remember that we dont need to see and know everything in our life. We dont need to know right now what is lying ahead of us, because God can see it and He will lead us there when the time is right. Until then, I will follow obediently and confidently knowing Our God is the wisest driver on our road of life :)
I just got Chris Tomlin's new CD " And If God is for Us" It is SO good and this song " I will follow you" totally goes in line with what the Lord was teaching me. I love the words to this song. I pray you guys are blessed.
Love you girls, and praying you will trust God enough in your own lives to follow Him blindly knowing He will provide and lead you.

Expanding His Kingdom

Hey girls!
I wanted to share a link with you. My friend Tiffany is on the World Race (an around the world missions trip), and her blog BLOWS MY MIND! Its incredible to see how God is moving on this trip and how often we close ourselves off to the rest of the broken world because we are too busy with our own lives. I encourage you to read at least one of her blog entries.(Believe me you wont stop at one) You will see in her beautiful writing a God fearing woman who is deeply in love with the Lord and who's only desire is to bring His love to the world through whatever means necessary. There is some pretty intense stuff on this blog, but I think we could all benefit from reading it. God is moving. All the time. It is so cool to be reminded that He is the Father of all the children of the world, and He desires His children's love so so deeply.
I pray you guys are blessed by this blog like I have been. And please, keep Tiffany in your prayers as she fights for God's Name to be lifted high in all these broken and desperate countries. THANK YOU!

Love you guys,

2 Chronicles 16: 9
"For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him."
This verse really stuck out to me in my reading today. I constantly pray for God's strength and wisdom and direction but too many times I forget the step before that...keeping my heart fully committed to God. I know that God is calling me to focus more on Him and less on what he can do for me. Short post but that's all I have to say! I'm gonna let the verse talk for itself! Praying over all of us girls today that our hearts are united with the LORD and FULLY committed to Him. Love each one of you precious ladies so much! Love Megs and Baby Boy
Running
This is their latest video. This song is SO gorgeous. Just listen to the words and be encouraged to run hard into the Lords arms today.
Praying for you all,

Glorifying God at all times!!!

“So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
In my daily life I often find it hard to glorify God doing small mundane things. I have no problem if I am sitting reading my bible.
But as soon as I get up from my devotions, I seem to lose the intimacy that I felt with the LORD earlier.
By the end of the day my devotional time is a distant memory. I often go to bed feeling like I have not spent time with God. Does this ever happen to you?
We have to work, grocery shop, clean, drive, go to meetings, etc. But we are also told to do everything for the glory of God. How can we live our lives while at the same time worshiping?
I heard a story recently about how a person spent the best times of worship at a copy machine? Do you feel lost? So did I. The person went on to say, that as he would make copies he would pray and talk with God.
Talk about doing everything for the glory of God! I desire to be that person, someone who is always worshiping God.
I love that in this scripture it says, “Whether you eat or drink.” It is talking about the mundane things of life here, it is not saying don’t do these things, instead it says while you do these things, “Glorify God!”
Worship: A natural tendency of every man’s heart. Worship is the expression of the desires of your heart. We worship what we value, what is important, what we love. Worship is never ending, you are always worshiping because you were created to worship. God is the only one who deserves or is worthy of our worship.
“I will praise you, LORD my GOD, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever.” Psalm 86:12
Prayer: God I pray that you would enrapture us in your perfect love. Let everything that we do in our daily lives lead us to a deeper connection with You. Forgive us for not always glorifying you in our words or actions. God I pray that you would captivate our hearts. Let us not go astray, protect us and keep us close to You. In Jesus’ holy name. Amen!
Love you girls and baby B!!!
